[Activerdf] some recent news on activerdf

Hi,

For all of you not following the blog, some recent news:

- rdflite now supports rdfs:subPropertyOf reasoning, so you can ask for
rdfs:label and get foaf:name. I didnt want to do this, but could not
resist. But I won't add much more (except maybe if I find some spare time,
rdfs:subClassOf and owl:ifp). It just doesn't make sense. There are enough
good RDF stores out there that have reasoning.

- we have started working on much more support for semantic web
development: the sword generator plugin generates models, controllers,
and views for an arbitrary RDFS class. These provide you a basic scaffold
for RDF and help you start programming your application. But they also
provide you a fully functional application that automatically tries to
fetch relevant RDF from the web: think server-side Tabulator. See [1] and
[2] for more info. If anybody wants to help implement a Fresnel-interpreter
for SWORD-views, let me know.

And finally, some blatant self-promotion: if you're interested the DERI
Outreach team did a video interview [3] with me about 'the semantic web for
normal people'. More to follow.

And of course, you can check http://blog.activerdf.org/ for more news!

 -eyal
